The Labyrinth Woodworks and Maze
While travelling around Opononi and Omapere, take time out to wander around a large variety of great quality affordable Arts, Crafts & Puzzles. Stock includes woodturning, wooden jigsaw puzzles, games, carvings, wood engravings and cards by Allan Gale, boards, candles, kete, tiles, polished kauri gum and kaleidoscopes.
Try your luck on solving some of our many puzzles, made locally or overseas. Our largest puzzle, our Amazing Maize Maze opens each year on 21st December till the end of April, so come and get lost, a great family activity.
Check out some of our marvelous walks, we have many. The Water Fall Track will take you about 30 minutes return, the Loop Walk will take you through stands of giant 1000 year old kauri trees, the Loop Track will take around 2 hours return. The Hauturu Trig Track 6 hours return, some magnificent views along the way and at the top.
Bring a picnic lunch and make a day of it.
