The season has been slow in starting this year but we are still managing to get some reasonable fish.

January - Continual South Westerly winds gave us fine calm conditions but the downside was the water stayed below the magical 18 degrees Celsius that the Snapper need to spawn. Although we scored the odd big Snapper, the fishing that normally happens in Nov-Dec didn't happen in January either. See the photos here and the videos here



February - The winds have changed to the East at long last. The water has warmed up but there are still a number of Snapper that don't appear to have spawned (even at the end of Feb.) The Kahawai are also starting to appear and by the end of February we're catching very big sea going Kahawai as well as some reasonable Snapper. See the photos here and the videos here
