previous days forecast, changed the date and republished it in the hope that eventually they'd get it right. So although tomorrows guess forecast looked better we decided to go with what we could see (just as well because when we got home the guess forecast for tomorrow was changed again.)

We were thinking of trying PF as the first spot but part way out Terry decided that he'd head straight for our favourite spot amongst the islands. It turned out to be a fantastic decision as we hadn't been there for more than ten minutes and we had two fish in the bin - a 32cm Snapper and a 40cm Snapper.

I'd had fears that the strong SW winds might put the fish off but Terry had placed us out of the worst of the wind and the fish definitely were hungry. The bites were steady most of the trip and we managed 30 Snapper and 3 Kahawai in the bin within the first 4hours and then we just fished for fun. The majority of the Snappers kept ranged between 34-45cms, the only ones smaller were the first one and two others that had swallowed the hooks.

Maggie Jury turned out to be the angler of the day, she nailed large Snapper one after the other. Her husband, Ken was trying his hardest to keep up but really, he didn't have a chance - at the weigh-in on the way home Maggie pipped Ken's biggest Snapper by 10mm. Measuring in at 45cms Maggie had the biggest Snapper of the day.

Ken and Maggie Jury have been out with us before so it was really good that they did so well today.

From the very start Maggie pulled in the most and the biggest Snapper, it was like she had her own private fishing hole. Ken tried valiantly but even though he eventually caught a whopper - Maggie still beat him with a 45cm Snapper that was 10mm bigger than Kens.

We came home with 30 Snapper and 3 Kahawai, and naturally the 5 biggest Snapper were caught by the dynamic duo.
