Moe with the best fish of the day
Close up of Moe with the best fish of the day

Moe was pretty keen. His dedication increased as the day continued. He tried several different positions on the boat but once he got comfortable in the stern he really hit his stride, pulling in fish after fish. He was rewarded for his efforts by getting the biggest fish but he definitely deserved bigger.

8th January -
The day was so pleasant that we, once again drifted for much of the day. However it seemed that the fish are proving to be elusive still. Young Moe caught the biggest fish of the day weighing in at 1.4kgs. For much of the day we feared that we were going to have our first ever zero catch. However a few last minute snapper saved the day along with a Terakihi. It is very hard fishing at the moment and talk around the town is that we are doing really good considering.
