Bay of Islands Fishing Report
3rd December - A Beautiful day, calm as calm, less than 5 knots north easterly winds but very few big fish. We were unlucky but I did hear of one boat that got a 20lb and a 10lb snapper. We caught a small hammerhead shark, a large gurnard, and our biggest snapper was 5lb (shown here). As you can see the Thornton family will have to put up with a bit of gloating from their Australian branch. There was talk of sending him home early.
They've done it again. The best fish of the day was caught by ......... An Aussie
